We are thrilled to announce we have been shortlisted as a finalist in the VIC Kitchen Renovation Over $50,001+ category at the HIA Victorian Housing Awards 2018!
Stay tuned to see how we go!
Here are some images of our Elwood Kitchen Project. This Contemporary kitchen is part of a full home renovation we recently designed and built in beautiful Elwood.
As you can see there was a lot of attention to detail in this design to create a kitchen space that was both aesthetically pleasing and user-friendly. As the kitchen was part of the living space it was important to create a contemporary design that was suited to the rest of the house.
The bold black island bench really creates a wow factor and works well with the timber backdrop and crisp white benches. We really wanted to play with textures and geometric shapes to create a stunning kitchen for this Elwood home.
The wine fridge and integrated dishwasher under the sink are must haves to create a functional kitchen that takes into account modern design. We have used a reconstituted stone splashback so that we could let the island bench and floor-to-ceiling timber joinery create the statement!
As you can see this kitchen has all the built in luxury appliances one could need in their kitchen. The double oven allows catering for any event making this home an entertainers delight. There are even two sets of warming drawers that ensure meals can remain hot until ready to eat (or pre-heat your espresso cups).
The kitchen also boasts a Siemens integrated coffee machine ensuring you have the perfect start to your day.
Another great feature of this kitchen is the storage space. Floor to ceiling Laminex Sublime Teak joinery are all push-to-touch open, leaving a sleek hand free look. The last two large panels hide integrated fridges, and a freezer. This allows clients to keep the contemporary design and have a fridge and freezer in the centre of the kitchen and living space. The island bench also has bench seating that can be used to eat right in the kitchen space.
The kitchen features a 12mm Dekton Sirius island bench top. This ultra compact surface is a winner in the kitchen, as it does not scratch and is heat proof. Yes, you can take hot meals out of the oven and place them straight on to the bench top! The Bora induction cooktop and down draught rangehood has been recessed into the benchtop. This cutting edge appliance allows you to keep the kitchen space clean without a standard rangehood that would have impacted the design and overall look. The island joinery is made of the incredible Fenix Nanotech Matt black joinery – it doesn’t scratch or leave finger marks!
As you can see, the kitchen and living space are connected, so we wanted the contemporary feel to flow between both zones. The custom floating marble shelves match the fireplace and work well with all the different textures seen in this kitchen and living space. There is also additional storage to match the kitchen.
