Hawthorn East Bathroom & Kitchen Renovation

Location: Hawthorn East

Duration: 6 Weeks

Scope: Master Ensuite & Walk In Robe

Brief: The main objective for this renovation was to repurpose the existing master suite, consisting of three individual rooms. The client wished to convert one room into a large walk-in robe, and the other into an ensuite. The existing ensuite and walk in robe were narrow and skinny, and the retreat area was left unused. The owners wanted an open plan dressing room, but one that would also maintain privacy. The ensuite needed to allow for a large shower, toilet and double vanity with an abundance of storage and natural light. Visually the owners sought a contemporary palette. The design planned for a large entry from the master bedroom into the dress room, to create an open plan feel. Visually all cabinetry is sleek, kept behind doors with a central island to increase storage – without blocking natural light. New walls were constructed to maintain privacy in both the toilet and shower areas, this encourages the vanity wall to be the main attraction. Mirrored shaving cabinets are situated above, whilst a subway marble feature tile makes a stunning statement.
