Malvern East

Location: Malvern East

Duration: 5 Weeks

Scope: Bathroom

Brief: The family bathroom was one of the last areas to be renovated in this beautiful Edwardian home. The bathroom lacked natural light and the owners disliked the current shower over bath configuration. Ideally, after the renovation the room would have a lot of natural light, contemporary storage, and feature both a bath and separate shower. The elongated room inspired the concept for a wet area configuration. A stunning freestanding bath was positioned at the end of the room, next to a generously sized walk in shower with a fixed glass panel. The ceiling height was dropped at the entry and stepped up over the wet area to create a visual impact of excess light. A large velux skylight is positioned over the bath. A concealed cistern toilet and suspended vanity creates sleek modern lines accompanied by a feature black framed (illuminated) mirror which emphasises the natural light. Modern concrete style tiles are accompanied by large format matt white porcelain wall tiles which create a great impact with black tap ware and accessories.

Testimonial

The team at GIA bathrooms lead by Kia their designer was faultless. The tradesman were all very professional and fitted around our family life to get the job done. The end result was better than planned and we look forward to having some long soaks in the beautiful bath.
