Brief: This tall and narrow town house was home to a young family of five. They were in desperate need of more storage to suit their everyday lifestyle. The existing kitchen lacked ease of access for multiple users, it created a clear divide from the rest of the home and was lacking the wow factor they were looking for. The clients loved to entertain family and friends often, and were frustrated with the functionality of their existing kitchen. The new kitchen layout connects the living and dining area. The built in dining table turns into the gathering point for the family, so the usable footprint of the kitchen stays functional. Maximising the joinery to the ceiling was a must, turning the joinery along the wall opposite the floor to ceiling window made us able to utilise the space for storage further. Every inch of space was used for clever storage, this even included a recess in the island to house the cat food bowl. The bathroom areas are sleek, minimal, and functional.
