Middle Park

Location: Middle Park

Duration: 12 Weeks

Scope: Complete Home Renovation – Kitchen, Bathroom, Ensuite, Powder Room, Laundry, Windows, Timber Flooring & Painting.

Brief: The clients were a family of four, that all loved to cook, make coffee, socialise, and embrace family culture. The homes structure would remain similar with minor updates including new doorways & replacing existing old windows and doors with a new colour scheme. The brief was to maintain elements reminiscent of the homes era whilst implementing contemporary finishes and styling. Bright whites, greys, and a hint of colour for the kitchen was high on the clients wish list.

The front of the home consisted of a master bedroom with a shared bathroom. This space was renovated into a private ensuite, creating a more functional room that now included a feature free standing bath. The master bathroom for the children was renovated to create a large walk in shower and clever storage. The separate powder room features stunning marble tiles and an illuminated mirror bringing additional luxe to the commonly used room. As the kitchen is a dynamic space, bulkhead modifications and a new window, improved the function and aesthetics of the room. Plenty of clever storage solutions have been implemented along with a selection of materials to bring this home to life. The combination of a shared profile shaker door, flat panel joinery, marble look benchtops, mosaic and feature tiling including the feature “pressed tin” tiled kitchen splashback introduce a lighter brighter space with a bold contrast to bring a sense of artistic quality.

Testimonial

This team is top notch! From initial contact, it was clear that Kia has a flair for the pragmatic and the aesthetic aspects of design, but that importantly she listened carefully to and incorporated what was important to us. The work was done to schedule by genuinely nice and approachable tradespeople who took time to answer any questions put to them. The site management was great with us being kept well informed. Finally, and I think most importantly, GIA has been extremely responsive to any niggles or concerns along the way and afterwards – always providing a resolution. I think such minor issues are inevitable with any project – it is the mark of a great company that they listen and solve! A special thanks to Greg who fixed something for us one afternoon in pouring rain and maintained a smile through it all! I have no hesitation at all recommending GIA.
